A Few of My Favorite Things For 2025
It's that time of year again where continue the annual tradition of reflecting over the year and noting the items I've added to my office or kit that really standout. Each year we all add and subtract things to make life easier working on set and some of those items are worth sharing with others. So here's a few of mine.
Olight IMINI 2
This Olight IMINI 2 was actually a gift. I had not seen it before but I instantly knew it was a great addition to my EDC bag. The magnetic dock for it also it's charger that you pop into any USB-A port. There's no/off switch, no modes. Simply detach it form the magnetic dock and it turns on. Attach it back to the dock to turn off.
Toss it on a NiteIze locking S-biner and clip it where you need it. So if you aren't one to stuff your pockets with EDC items and sometimes your phone as a light just doesn't cut it I'd considering having this with you.

Nimbot B1 Label Printer
The Nimbot B1 Label Printer is a Bluetooth thermal printer has been a great step up over my old Brother and Dymo units. It not just for ribbon labels like the others. It can print on various sizes and shapes. Since it's Bluetooth and controlled an app your customization of the labels is practically limitless. It has a built-in battery that charges over USB-C and is very compact. (just a bit smaller than my p-touch)
I've been using it to label drives, label gear and even print labels for some of the products on my store.
Custom Engraved Tags
I've struggled with ordering custom tags in the past because I felt a bit limited in the design options or didn't like the minimum order quantities. So this year I sorted out that and started making custom tags for myself. Using anodized aluminum blanks I was able to make laser engraved tags with sturdy coated stainless steel loops. Since I had the means to make this happen I began to offer this option to others. Check it out HERE
SlapWraps
I had a whole post about this earlier in the year so just check that out for all the details. I think they are pretty awesome! TLDR: silicone slap bracelets are great for cable management. They are available in many colors and cheap.
